I usually research a purchase until somebody tells me to put the phone down.

That habit is how this site began. I like beautiful things that work well, earn their price and continue to feel right once they become part of everyday life.

Why HomeMade?

To me, HomeMade describes how a home—and really, a life—is slowly shaped by the things we choose and the way we use them. Some choices are big. Plenty are ordinary. They all influence how a room feels and how a routine works.

Dragonfly Cottage

Our little cottage in Columbus, Georgia, gave me plenty to research. We made decisions about the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, porch, storage and all the practical details that come with preparing a home for other people to enjoy. I’ll share what we chose, what worked and what I’d reconsider.

Beauty is part of home life too

I love skincare, especially Korean skincare. Makeup, mature skin and the products I actually finish or repurchase all belong here too.
