A faucet may need supply lines. A fan may expose a duct problem. Cabinet pulls may need different screws. I read the installation list before checkout so those extra pieces can go into the plan.
Labor can change the answer
Installation difficulty can turn a lower price into a higher total cost. When I can’t tell what’s behind a wall or ceiling, that uncertainty belongs in the budget.
Think about replacing it someday
Standard sizes and available parts can save money later. I’ve learned to consider the maintenance and replacement path along with the first purchase.
