The kitchen tells you what it needs

Notice where groceries are set down, where coffee gets made and where clean dishes wait. Those habits show you the real work zones better than a perfect pantry picture ever could.

Easy access belongs to everyday things

The mug used every morning shouldn’t be behind the serving dish used twice a year. In a small kitchen, I’d rather arrange things by how often they’re reached for than by whether every category looks perfectly matched.

A little empty space is useful

A cabinet packed to the edge is hard to keep organized. At a rental, guests also need somewhere to put their groceries. Breathing room is a useful part of the plan.
